HAMILTON – NDP MPPs Andrea Horwath (Hamilton Centre), Monique Taylor (Hamilton Mountain), Sandy Shaw (Hamilton West—Ancaster—Dundas) and Paul Miller (Hamilton East—Stoney Creek) released the following statement on the death of Charles Juravinski:
“Charles loved Hamilton, and the people of Hamilton loved him back. Like so many others in our community, we are deeply saddened to learn of his passing. Charles and his wife Margaret were a remarkable team who have contributed so much to improving the lives of the people of Hamilton. Their leadership has helped Hamilton’s health care system make great strides and better serve Hamiltonians. Charles’ community spirit and generosity has impacted innumerable lives, and will continue to do so for generations to come.
Our thoughts and sympathies are with Margaret, their family and everyone whose lives were made brighter by knowing Charles. Hamilton has lost one of its greatest champions and our whole community is in mourning.”
